Beatriz Cortez, Adrift in a Mirrored Sea (Hansbukta)

A tall screen of dark steel stands on the gallery floor, its openwork of rounded cells and jagged peaks like the edge of a glacier or a floe breaking apart, throwing a lacework of shadow across the concrete. Behind it a black cocoon of cable hangs from the ceiling, and a white wall reads “Entangled Writing.”
