Jesse Colin Jackson

Program Co-Lead, UC Natural Reserve Arts Initiatives

Jesse Colin Jackson is a Professor of Art at UC Irvine, Associate Dean for Research and Innovation in the Claire Trevor School of the Arts, and Executive Director of the Beall Center for Art + Technology. An artist and designer, his work explores architecture, landscape, urban systems, and virtual environments through digital visualization, fabrication, installation, and image-making. His practice examines how physical and computational spaces shape the ways we understand and inhabit the built environment.

For UC CAAN, Jackson is collaborating with Karolina Karlic to develop expanded arts programming within the UC Natural Reserve System, creating new opportunities for artists, researchers, and students to engage California’s diverse ecological sites through field-based research, creative practice, and public programming.
