Description
-
Between 2021 and 2024, LA-based photographers Ryan McIntosh and Yogan Muller jointly documented the rapid emergence of Tracy Hills, a new master-planned community in California's Central Valley. They photographed the transformation of rolling hills and grazing land to a grid of 5,000 new homes until a 14,000-acre blaze engulfed the development. Their two-volume dialogue photobook, published by Radius in 2025, positions their work at the intersection of the water, housing, and climate crises California is grappling with. 50 years after the New Topographics, this talk explores the value of photographic collaboration in witnessing the contemporary human-altered landscape.
